The Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad travels 45.4 miles on a scenic, historic train between the towns of Durango and Silverton, running along the Animas River through wilderness inaccessible by any road! This is the only way to see this majestic scenery. This train runs from May until October and is a wonderful way to explore the best of the area.
Your experience will begin in Durango, where you'll enjoy your first night's stay at either the Downtown Durango Inn or the Hampton Inn Durango (or similar), with breakfast included the next morning. Then it's off to the train! Your standard class tickets on the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad will make for stunning sightseeing on your second day. Then you will be transported back to your accommodations in Durango by bus for your second night, with breakfast included again the morning.
