The adventure begins at the Bobby’s Bike Hike headquarters in Streeterville. Here you’ll meet your energetic and fun-loving guide, as well as your ready-to-ride Bobby’s electric bicycle. The motorized function of these bikes makes riding a breeze, perfect for all skill levels!
The tour heads out to nearby Ohio Street Beach, to see the illumination of Navy Pier and Olive Park. Catch the historic ferris wheel lit up in its hometown, and learn about the history of these famous waterfront attractions.
Your guide will then lead you up to Oak Street Beach, one of the most popular summertime hotspots, for both locals and visitors alike.
The group will then trek into downtown to get a peek at the legendary Chicago River from one of the most incredible viewpoints. You’ll see boats cruising up and down the waterway, and bask in the beautiful canyon of lit-up skyscrapers that the river creates.
It’s only a short ride from there down to Millennium Park, home of Chicago’s most epic works of public art, including the Bean, The Crown Fountain, and the Frank Gehry-designed Pritzker Pavilion. Don’t worry! The tour will stop for plenty of photos at this heavily-Instagrammed spot.
Next up is Buckingham Fountain, located in Grant Park, the largest fountain in the world when it was built in 1927. The fountain lights up to music every night and the breathtaking water show is not to be missed.
After that, the group travels south on the Lakefront Trail to see Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears, and the one-of-a-kind Museum Campus. This unique park is home to the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, and the Adler Planetarium, three of the most highly-regarded museums in the world.
If you happen to choose a Wednesday or Saturday night for this incredible journey, you’ll get a bonus spectacle on the way back to headquarters: a Navy Pier fireworks show! Regardless, unbelievable views are guaranteed on the lakeside ride back to Streeterville.

This is a really fun way to see the city...entirely different perspective than a daytime tour. Sparkling lake and river views, the full moon over the skyscrapers, neon-lit boats and Ferris wheel, fireworks--what more could you ask for?! And whoop-whoop-ing as a pack through crowded city streets! How's that for enlivening?! Not something I could do on my own. Cole made it informative, safe for all ages, an easy, breezy ride, and a lot of fun.

This was a lot of fun riding through the city streets and to see all lights at night. Mark was our guide and he was great! The night our family took the tour was a night that Navy Pier shot off fireworks, so that was an additional bonus. Our family enjoyed very much, so I would say it was well worth the cost and would recommend that anyone who enjoys riding should work this in to their agenda. The only concern I would voice is that I believe one guide to be responsible for 20 bikers at night is too much responsibility! I would recommend that an additional guide be added to this tour so that Mark could worry about guiding the group and/or monitoring traffic and let the second guide bring up the tail end to ensure the group stays together. We had someone that incurred a flat tire and it was a good distance before someone else in the group could catch up to Mark and alert him of the incident. However overall I would highly recommend the services of Bobby's Bike Hike to not only take a tour, but to rent bikes for a day and create your own tour.

Our family had a blast! Adarius was an outstanding guide and shared fun stories along side the tour highlights. Pretty easy ride and our teenage daughters were as entertained as we were - it was a great time!
- Only recommendable for younger or very fit people as you go for 14 miles in a short time with only one reasonable break. The tour guide was good. Would propose participants upto 45 of age. I was 64 I did it but it was a bit hard. Still I enjoyed it.
- My husband and I had so much fun on this bike tour. Chicago is absolutely beautiful, especially at night. Our tour guides was awesome! They were very knowledgeable about the history of this city. If we were ever to visit again, we will go on this tour again!
