Your journey takes place throughout the Magnificent Mile, Chicago's premier shopping district covering one square mile (2.6 square km) with an array of shops, boutiques, world-class restaurants, numerous landmarks and home to several of the world's tallest buildings. Meet in front of Leonidas Chocolate Caf? at 3pm to begin your 2-hour cupcake walking tour. Step inside this historic chocolatier to tantalize your tastebuds with your first cupcake of the day.Your friendly, knowledgeable local guide will then take you on an easy walk to several local, artisanal bakeries and dessert boutiques to enjoy five more sinfully good confections. Up next is Crumbs Bake Shop, which bakes more than 50 delicious varieties of cupcakes daily, including decadent chocolate cupcakes, which you’ll get to enjoy.Step back in time as you visit one of the oldest and most famous Italian delis in Chicago, L'Appetito. Though this is a cupcake tour, it’s impossible to overlook the gelato here. Slip in a serving of their amazing, authentic gelato it's simply too hard to resist!Get a dose of pop culture at Sprinkles, founded by Candace Nelson, a featured judge on TLC’s Cupcake Wars. Sprinkles is arguably the world's first cupcake bakery and the progenitor of the gourmet cupcake craze, and the cupcakes here hold up to their reputation.Next, wander through the Goddess and Grocer, a food lover’s paradise run by Chicago-based food fanatics. Their chocolate selection is unparalleled on the Gold Coast. Your last stop is More Cupcakes, a modern art museum-meets-cupcake bakery where you’ll enjoy a sophisticated, gourmet cupcake with an innovative twist.Your group will enter some shops, and at other places will enjoy some tastings 'on the go' due to limited space. Along the way, your guide will point out famous Chicago landmarks such as the John Hancock Building and the Chicago Water Tower.
