Start your tour in Brooklyn, where you'll receive a walkie-talkie and headset so you can hear directions and insightful commentary from your guide. You’re accompanied on the East River ferry to Wall Street, where your bike tour of Lower Manhattan begins.Riding with your group mostly in the bike lanes of city streets, make your way south of 14th Street through multiple neighborhoods that showcase New York’s parks, bars, restaurants, boutiques and nightlife. Along the way, hear about local culture and NYC history.Pedal with your guide on the Hudson River Greenway, a bike path that runs along the West Side to Battery Park. Pass by Chelsea Market and the High Line — an elevated public park built on a historic freight rail line — before reaching the West Village. Then explore landmark Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, learn about the fate of Minetta Creek and ride through the nightclub district of Bleecker Street.Other neighborhoods you'll ride through include the East Village, Chinatown, Tribeca and SoHo. While you ride, catch glimpses of Wall Street, the Statue of Liberty and Freedom Tower — aka One World Trade Center — the tallest building in the US.In addition to approximately three hours of riding, you’ll make several stops. Step into a bagel shop for an authentic taste of New York in Greenwich Village. Then slip back in time at the Backroom Bar, an underground speakeasy.
When you need a caffeine boost, enjoy a snack and cup of organic, shade-grown coffee at an artisan roaster in the Lower East Side. Take a tour of the Fraunces Tavern Museum, a historic tavern in the Financial District (FiDi) that harbored Patriot sympathizers during the American Revolution.Finally, cycle across the Williamsburg Bridge and be rewarded with a gelato stop in Williamsburg before returning to your starting point.
