Your bike tour begins at 11am at bustling McCarren Park, where you’ll be set up with a lightweight, retro-looking bike designed for city riding and a walkie-talkie and helmet headset so you can stay connected to your local guide throughout the tour. In the winter months, you'll also receive gloves and a poncho.
Enjoy an easy ride through Brooklyn’s best-known enclaves including Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO, which stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. The pace will be easy, and since your group will have no more than eight people, you will get plenty of individual attention from your guide.
There will be stops in each neighborhood so your guide can fill you in on local history and point out the best restaurants, bars and shops. Get an even better taste of local culture at Frank Pinello’s Best Pizza, where you can indulge in Neapolitan-style brick-oven pizza (own expense). In the winter months, you'll stop to warm up with a complimentary cup of coffee at Brooklyn Roasting Company.
Venturing off the beaten track, visit Brooklyn Grange, one of the world’s largest rooftop soil farms. Located on the roof of an 11-story building, it covers a full 1.5 acres (0.6 hectare) and offers phenomenal views of Brooklyn and Manhattan (not open in winter months).
Your Brooklyn bike tour ends with a relaxing, scenic ferry ride on the East River from DUMBO to Williamsburg.
Please note: Due to crowding and unreliability, Saturday tours no longer feature the East River ferry.

We loved it. Catalina our guide was amazingly passionate about Brooklyn, and very knowledgeable. Her personality and humour shone, we had the best time.

Great tour! Young people are organising these tours and that shows. You get to see a different side of New York as you take a tour through Brooklyn, which is obviously an underrated burough. Our guide was very enthousiastic and took is to some places you wouldn't visit on your own. Value for money!

This is a great tour - it was quite wet the day I went but we had lots if fun and our guide was lovely and extremely knowledgeable. U can imagine that in a nice day the views would be stunning. I loved the visit to the rooftop sustainable garden.

Great views of Manhattan from parts of the bike tour.
Bit rushed but you do cover a lot of Brooklyn.. -
Firstly, I had to rebook my Bike Tour which was no problem and took the tour a week later on the 10th. Unfortunately the rain was relentless for most of the day which mainly affected my photos but certainly not the tour.
I think our guides name was Matthew (sorry if I have that wrong) and he was fantastic.
The tour far exceeded my expectations. Our group was small, the bikes were clean, comfortable and new and the ponchos provided were brilliant. We each had walkie talkies which meant you didn't miss any of the commentary even if you were a bit slow! The ride itself was easy, I felt safe and the group all looked out for each other.
The sights, information, history, views, stories were all fabulous. I'm not sure if my favourite part was the roof top market garden (incredible), the ride out on the pier, the ferry ride or the fabulous hot pizza and later hot coffee much needed after cycling in the rain! I wish I had more time to take another of their tours, especially the new Brunch Tour.
This tour of Brooklyn was one of the highlights of my visit to NYC, thank you.
