The original evening volcano adventure and still the best! This tour visits two National Parks. Travel south into Kona coffee country for the first stop at Puuhonua o Honaunau National Historic Park. Before coffee there was kapu, the ancient Hawaiian system of laws. Should a person break kapu and face almost certain death they could make their way to a place of refuge and be absolved. Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historic Park is one of those places of refuge. Explore this historic 420 acre Park with your National Park Service-trained guide and see temple platforms, fishponds, and remnants of ancient life in Hawaii. Next, head up to Bay View Farm, a working 24 acre coffee farm nestled on the slopes of Mauna Loa Volcano just above beautiful Kealakekua Bay and known for the best Kona coffee since 1984. Here you’ll see coffee growing on the trees and learn about the various steps and processes in making coffee, all of which happen right here on the farm. You’ll sample 100% Kona Coffee along with a deli-style lunch at a gorgeous overlook with stunning views of Kealakekua Bay and the monument to Captain Cook standing on the only sliver of British land in the United States. The adventure continues as you head through the South Kona and Ka’u Districts. Stunning views, alternating between stark lava flows and Hawaiian dry forest, are visible through the huge picture windows of your tour vehicle. We stop briefly at Punalu’u Bake Shop, the southern most bakery in America. Offering the finest time-honored Hawaiian sweetbreads since 1991, the Bake Shop offers an array of breads and cookies. Shortly thereafter, you’ll arrive at picturesque Punalu’u Black Sand Beach. Lined with swaying coconut palm trees, this is one of the best black sand beaches on the island. Stroll along the beach and look for honu (Green Hawaiian Sea Turtles) feeding just offshore or sun-worshipping on the sand. Next travel to the crown jewel of Hawaii, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Visit the Kilauea Visitor’s Center, the Kilauea Iki Crater Overlook, and Steaming Bluffs. Take a hike out to Keanakakoi Crater and step over the sinkholes and cracks in the roads left behind the historic 2018 eruption here. Then it’s on to the famous Volcano Winery, the southernmost winery in the United States. You’ll sample up to eight different types of wines, varying from sweet to dry, and all with a unique Hawaiian flare. The Volcano Winery also has estate grown teas to taste and soft drinks and water are also included. After sampling beverages, you’ll enjoy a hearty Hawaiian-style BBQ dinner with a complimentary glass of your choice of Volcano Winery wine or other beverage.行程概要出發地點

It was a full day but well worth it. Our guide John was a wealth of knowledge. The food was just ok, nothing special.

Ticked off a lot of areas we wanted to cover in one day, including visiting a coffee farm and winery, seeing the Painted Church, checking out turtles and of course the lava tube and volcano. Our guide PJ was awesome. The only real disappointment was the weather but nothing that we could do about that.. Definitely a great way to see the island and get some local insight that you cant read about in guidebooks.

I didn't really know what to expect in this tour, but it turned out to be one of the most relaxing tours I have ever done. The pace was perfect. Out tour guide/driver Ricardo was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He told us about Hawaiian culture and included many stories. Our first stop at the Kona coffee plantation took us an idyllic location for lunch. We stopped at the coffee shop/museum, the black sand beach I had seen this before, but it was fun regardless, and then arrived at the Hawaii volcano national park. The lava fields and Thurston lava tube were very interesting. Next we went outside the park for wine tasting place. We had a delicious dinner there. I didn't do the winery tour I wish I had but I am sure it was interesting. We returned to the park to see the 'glow'. I was totally unprepared for the beauty of the glow of the volcano it was out of this world. I would have liked to spend more time at the Jagger museum. 10-15 minutes were just not enough. I didn't get to see the museum at all I just did a hurried shopping as it was the only opportunity to buy something from the national park. Except for that, this was a great tour.

jessie was the best guide ever!!!!! Had a blast with this tour! No other way to see the lava glow than at night!

Wow, what a great time we had. It was a full day but our guide was great. He was knowledgeable, friendly, on time and a very good driver. We saw the most amazing sites including an active glowing volcano! We got a great overview of the area of Kona as well as some insight in to the history of Hawaii. The Coffee Tour and Winery Dinner were well organized and the food was good. I would recommend this highly to anyone that has not been to the area before.

This was a great tour. Great tour guide. Every part of the volcano was fabulous and amazing! Lunch view was beautiful, food ok. Winery tasting rushed and not for wine lover but average consumer. Bbq dinner delicious. Coffee farm disappointing - only one to taste, but learned a ton! Recommend.

It was amazing....From seeing the lava red glow in the sky, to walking in the lava tube and also in the rising steam from the volcano, simply amazing. Our guide, Marcus, was extremely knowledgeable and very personable as well. The only downside was that we didn't see any spewing lava, but that had nothing to do with the tour, only with mother nature. A long day trip, about 11 hours, but worth every minute of it.
