The recent eruptions of Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii Volcano National Park have captured the world's imagination. Kilauea tours feature the closest approach to recent lava flows allowed by Civil Defense and local authorities.
You'll explore Hawaii Volcano National Park, Thurston Lava Tube and Kilauea Volcano, and visit the Jaggar Museum. If conditions are deemed safe by the National Park Service, you'll also have the opportunity to hike out onto the lava flow.
This Big Island Hawaii Volcano tour also takes you through Hilo Town and Banyan Drive, the waterfalls at Rainbow Falls (if time permits), a macadamia nut factory (seasonal), and an orchid and anthurium nursery.行程概要出發地點

Please read the following cautionary comments before selecting this tour: When lava enters the ocean, the intense heat produces a plume cloud with dangerous and potentially life threatening toxic gases, super heated steam, and hydrochloric acid. Airborne particles are a hazard to your eyes and lungs. Watch for shifting winds that can blow acid mist clouds over you. Leave the area at once. Where lava enters the ocean the coastline is extended. This new surface is unstable and may collapse at any time without warning. Do not approach areas where lava is entering the ocean. Sharp lava cracks and holes, loose rock, and thin crust greatly increase your risk of getting hurt. Falling on lava can result in nasty wounds. Wear sturdy walking shoes. Use sunscreen, wear a hat, and drink plenty of fluids. If inland flows are present, and you use caution, you may have an opportunity to view fresh lava close up. Follow marked routes and your guides instructions. Molten lava is 2000 degrees F, so keep a safe distance and never go into areas where your escape route may be cut off. Do not throw objects into lava as this can cause burns from spattering lava or eye injuries from airborne volcanic glass fragments. Leroy was the best guide with his knowledge and great story telling. We fitted alot in that day and felt safe doing it.Highlight was walking on the lava flow from 1979.You think it's another planet. Walking through the lava tunnel also. Lunch was a in the accommodation lodge with a view of the volcano which is smoking away. Again the weather up the mountain became misty and foggy and their was one view we didn't get to see.Again that's mother nature and no one can change that.

The tour had way more than I thought. Robert was extremely knowledgeable and kept us well entertained during the drive. I recommend this to anybody of all ages. Good job Robert !

The tour was ok, you don't get to see a live lava flow. You do get to walk out onto some different lava fields, and you see ALOT of craters (my fianc? called it the big hole tour). You do see a black sand beach early on, but if you know your way around the park, not worth the price of this tour.

We both really enjoyed this tour in Hilo. It was a long day but it was very interesting. Our bus driver was Sharon. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and heaps of fun. She even sang to us. Loved everything about this trip. We were not disappointed at all.

The tour (Polynesian adventures) was fun and the tour guide Sharon, was really knowledgable and helpful!!! The company was accommodative of our flight schedule. The lunch stop was disappointing, but i guess it was best available! I would still recommend this tour

Nice tour. We saw several things that had been on our list and some that were not. The bus was comfortable, we had plenty of time to look around at our stops. The only negative was that because of the size of the group, we got stuck while the driver tried to find stragglers. I guess that is understandable since this is among the least expensive volcano tours.

Loved the tour guide, Loren. Loved the stories he told and all the sites we saw. For the tour of the volcano itself, I thought we would see the active lava flows. Seeing the past lava flows and ghe steam vents wss intersting but if I ever get anither chance, I will take a night time tour instead. For me it was just a little anticlimatic.
