Departing from Honokohau Marina located 3 miles (4.8km) north of Kailua-Kona, your captain will entertain you with Hawaiian folklore and Kona history as you travel along the scenic Kona coast. Every winter, the humpback whales migrate to Hawaii to mate and give birth in the warm waters. Your naturalist captain will provide narration on the whale's behavior and the hydrophones onboard allow you to listen for the whale song. There are also frequent sightings of dolphins, manta rays, turtles and other marine life during the expedition.
Time allowing, you'll get close to many lava tubes, sea caves, sea grottos and wave powered blow holes. Learn how the island of Hawaii was formed as your captain shares their knowledge about the geology of the island's lava flows.
The Rigid Hull Inflatable Zodiac vessels used are 24 feet (7 meters) in length, powered by twin outboard motors to produce a quick moving and highly maneuverable ride. The rafts are perfect for exploring the shallow coves, sea caves and lava tubes located along this coastline. Each boat can hold up to 16 passengers.
Due to the bouncy nature of the ride, the Zodiac Raft Whale Watching Adventure is not recommended for those with back or neck problems, or pregnant women. The Kona Coast has the calmest water and the fast moving Zodiac is the least likely vessel to cause seasickness.行程概要出發地點

Rick and Bryce were a great captain and first mate. Saw whales, learned a lot and had a really good time.

The Captain did his best to find whale sightings. It was a slow day initially, but turned out fabulous. He took extra time to allow us to listen to a whale singing that ended up very close. The Captain didn't always have his facts straight, but overall was a good adventure.

Great tour! The crew was very knowledgeable about the area and whales, as well as entertaining with their discussion. They joked that it's more of a whale-waiting trip, but we were able to see a lot of whales during the 3 hour trip. There was some waiting, but the whales aren't a scheduled show, so that is to be expected. Make sure to take sunscreen!

We loved this trip! The captain was determined to get us the best photos right until the last minute. Had a brilliant time, saw many whales and dolphins too!

The ride was good and the captain and 1st mate were very informative. Glad we did it.

Our guide was very very knowledgeable about the area and the habits of the whales. The zodiac boat was great, as I do get sick and I did not feel any symptoms. We went to areas that were not common to most boats and saw some amazing whales. We had two bull whales fighting, a couple of breaches and even a school of dolphins. I would highly recommend this tour!!

This was a fantastic trip. We saw whales...lots of whales! Our guide was Captain Ron and he was excellent. He made the trip fun, exciting, and even educational. We would do it again.
